As schools are adopting personalized next gen learning, Distinctive Schools is reshaping its existing social-emotional learning (SEL) practices to meet the needs of students in the new learning environment. The SEL framework is inspired in part by MyWays.

They are redesigning a character development program—PRIDE: Problem solving, Responsibility, Integrity, Drive, and Empathy—and piloting a mentoring model to address Habits of Success.

Distinctive schools is testing use of the MyWays whole-student competency plot to measure and show growth in SEL performance. They also are planning a dashboard that combines academic and SEL data.
